Meet Chrissa
Chrissa is a Greek-American photographer who loves capturing real people in real moments. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts and having spent years in Athens, Greece, her work is shaped by a love of storytelling, culture, and everyday humanity.
A graduate of NESOP, she blends a documentary eye with a warm, intuitive approach, making her photos feel like a conversation between friends. Her favorite genre is street photography, where she can quietly observe and capture people being completely themselves. Her favorite cities are Athens and New York as there are quiet stories unfolding in the busy streets and unseen by most passersby.
As a creative, Chrissa is endlessly curious, always exploring new mediums and fresh ideas. This curiosity led her to experiment with collage, giving her a new artistic voice. She is also the creator of TAIYETY, a creative scarf brand that merges her photography with fashion and textiles. Through Taiyety, her images come to life on fabric, transforming moments of light and landscape into art that can be worn.
When she’s not photographing others, you’ll find her reading, writing, discovering new music, and visiting neighborhood cafes. Her favorite moments are spending time in nature with her husband, two boys and Hippster the pup.
Every summer, she and her family return to Greece, where the landscapes, culture, and ancestral roots recharge her creativity and inspire everything she creates.
